The thing I don’t like about tumblr is that you can’t really comment on posts without reblogging them…unless I’m missing something! But I had to reblog this because it’s an awesome way to describe the Babysitter’s Club! I was reading these books by the time I was 7 and I’m sure I read all of them that were out at the time. I don’t know if any others came out after I wasn’t so into the series. I always related most to Stacey because we both had blonde hair, and liked fashion and math!
And I agree/disagree with the sidenote because, as a babysitter, I would like to think that I’m important, haha. But I’m not younger than a teacher since I am a teacher (although, a young one so I guess that could still fit!), and I definitely don’t ignore the kids at all! I’m the one who acts silly to make them laugh, which I think is fun and releases stress!
My sidenote: You probably remember the BSC movie, but what about the TV show? I still remember the theme song! (And yes, I’m singing it in my head now!)
Been talking about Babysitters Club a lot lately with Molly & Zooey, mainly because of how awesome it was. Basically, it was a the story of a bunch of young women killing it as entrepreneurs. What more do you need? Now, I know everyone loved the books, (unless you are a monster) but the real question is which one were you? I’m obviously Kristy, do you even need to ask?
Also, on a sidenote how important are babysitters. Babysitters are like cooler younger teachers who ignore you just the right amount to make you think they are superheros.

I might have to set aside any actual work today until I resolve WHICH BABYSITTER AM I?! I always thought I was Mary Ann but now I’m an Interior Designer & friends ask me for fashion advice - does that make me Stacey?

This is the best succinct summary of The Baby-Sitters Club: “Basically, it was the story of a bunch of young women killing it as entrepreneurs.”
